We're committed to living our values each and every day.
Liberty's purpose is to help people embrace today and confidently pursue tomorrow. Our people are ambassadors of our values and together we support our local communities, environment, social projects and charities.

Charity support
As underwriters, we understand how important security is for business. We also know how critical a sense of security is to help people confront and overcome adversity.
As a Mutual, we exist to help people embrace today and confidently pursue tomorrow. This purpose serves as a guiding principle for our philanthropic efforts.
What we believe in
The focus of our charitable giving is to invest in community initiatives dedicated to:
Empowering individuals who are experiencing homelessness
Advancing access for people with disabilities
Expanding educational opportunities for underserved students

Serve with Liberty
Serve with Liberty is our global employee community service program. The program is about caring for people and involves Liberty employees from all over the world devoting time to help their local community.
Every employee is encouraged to do a day of volunteering in the Serve with Liberty campaign period (in April/May each year). It’s a great opportunity to give back to our local community.
Spotlight on Studio A
Studio A in Sydney supports the work of artists living with intellectual disability, helping them achieve their artistic and economic aspirations.
Artists working with Studio A have access to a fully-equipped studio space and support staff, as well as weekly workshop run by invited established artists. The Studio A artists work in a range of mediums and their work is strategically marketed to a diverse range of art, design, craft and corporate markets.
Income generated by the sale of artwork directly benefits the artists.

The studio supports the artists' sense of belonging, self-esteem and future aspirations, and reduces the stigma associated with disability in the wider community.
Liberty has partnered with Studio A for more than a decade.
Since 2020, we’ve joint forces to run Liberty Art Awards where four emerging Studio A artists are selected to participate, and work hard to develop artworks for Liberty.
Where we put our support

In 2020, in the wake of the Australian bushfires and during the COVID pandemic, Liberty formed a partnership with the Botanic Gardens of Sydney in Sydney. On the doorstep of our offices, the Gardens are not only one of Australia’s most beautiful botanical spaces, they also form Australia’s oldest scientific institution and play an important role in advancing understanding of plant life in NSW and Australia.
Today Liberty is proud to be a Major Partner of the Botanic Gardens of Sydney, with our funding specifically supporting the Youth Community Greening program that closely aligns with our community pillars of Accessibility and Education.

The Nelune Foundation is a not-for-profit charity that is committed to 'helping patients fight cancer with dignity'. It supports people of all ages and their families cope with cancer by providing support, care and post-operative medical aids not covered by government or private funding.
Founded in 2001 by Nelune Rajapakse OAM and Anna Guillan AM, the foundation has so far raised over $21 million for ongoing projects, including cancer care services for children, young adults and adults at hospitals in greater-metropolitan Sydney, Orange and Bathurst; the world-class Nelune Centre in Darlinghurst; the new Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick; and the Rebecca Wilson Fellowship in Breast Cancer Research, inaugurated in 2017.
Liberty is pleased to be a long standing supporter of the Nelune Foundation.

Liberty Brisbane has supported Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland (RMHSEQ) for a decade. Over the years, Liberty staff have assisted at the RMHSEQ 'Impact Day' program, supported the RMHSEQ Red Boot Hoot Gala Ball and Red Boot Golf Day, and engaged with vulnerable families by coming into the house to cook for them.
