CropPlus is available to both seasonal and broadacre farming operations across Australia, including wheat, barley and canola growers. Liberty offers flexible coverage options tailored to the diverse needs of the country's agricultural sector.
Liberty has been underwriting agriculture and crop insurance policies in Australia since 2020 through an agency arrangement. Now Liberty is bringing its experienced team of agricultural underwriters and market-leading policy wordings direct to the segment, with insurance brokers encouraged to directly contact our underwriting team.
Key features of Liberty’s CropPlus include:
- Low minimum excess option of 2.5% in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria for all crop types
- Nil excess options available in Western Australia and South Australia
- Automatic inclusion of frost cover (with a sublimit)
- A 10% premium discount where shapefiles detailing the insured's farm locations are supplied
Coverage for baled hay, chemical drift, harvested grain, livestock damage, transit, and standing straw and stubble
