Security Tips
To protect yourself, we encourage all customers and the general public to:
- Verify insurance agents and broker.
Always check the credentials and registration details of your insurance agent or broker (“licensed insurance intermediaries”). You can do so via the following official links:
For Financial Advisers and Insurance Brokers: https://eservices.mas.gov.sg/fid/
For Insurance Agents: https://www.arcm.com.sg/public/client/arsPublic/PublicSearch - Be cautious with links and unsolicited messages
Avoid clicking on suspicious links or responding to unsolicited emails or messages. Always use official channels to engage authorized and licensed insurance intermediaries for the purchase of insurance policies. - Protect your personal information
Exercise caution when sharing personal or financial information online. Do not make payments or process financial transactions unless you are certain about the legitimacy of the licensed insurance intermediary. - Follow proper premium payment practice.
When buying insurance policies through our agents, premiums must be paid directly to Liberty (except when the insurance is bundled with a related non-insurance product and exemption applies e.g. motor insurance premium paid together with the cost of the vehicle).
For more details, please refer to the ARB Premium Payment Rules as set by the General Insurance Association (GIA). - Check your policy documents carefully
Ensure that all policy documents you receive are legitimate and not falsified. Liberty is unable to assume responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from falsified policies. As a safeguard, please conduct due diligence when procuring insurance through third-party channels and always verify the legitimacy of the licensed insurance intermediaries who approaches you.
