Maria is a claims specialist in the Professional and Financial Risks team, overseeing end-to-end claims handling. 

Personal Profile

Maria joined Liberty in 2024 with over 7 years' experience in the industry, working both in-house and in private practice. Maria's experience includes a range of liability and PFR matters, including bodily injury, third party property damage, employment liability claims, claims arising from negligence, breach of duty and financial loss for professionals with a focus on robust coverage analysis, early engagement with insureds (policyholders) and brokers, and pragmatic defence and settlement strategies to protect client relationships while safeguarding insurer interests. 

Maria holds a Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Management) and Bachelor of Laws; Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP).
