Refer to your Certificate of Insurance for claim process

Step 2
Arrange for survey immediately

Request Carrier/Bailees to attend a joint survey when necessary.

  • For imports, please contact Liberty at Claims_admin.sg@libertymutual.com or by phone 1800-LIBERTY (5423 789)
  • For exports, please contact the survey agent listed on the Insurance Certificate/Policy
  • To clause delivery receipt if goods received in doubtful condition (to preserve your rights) against the Carrier/Bailees
  • For missing/damaged goods, submit your claim immediately or send written notice to the Carrier/Bailees/Port Authorities
  • Send a written notice to Carrier/Bailees within 3 days of the delivery of the cargo if the loss or damage was not apparent at the time of delivery

You will receive an acknowledgement from Liberty that we have received your claim submission.

Upon receiving all original documents, Liberty will process your claim.

You will receive an email from Liberty that payment will be processed to the mode of payment that you have selected.

Marine Cargo insurance typically affords compensation to the insured/shipper/consignee at an agreed value (provided the claimant has an Insurable Interest on the goods at the time of loss) for any accidental loss/damage (subject to policy terms & conditions) vide typical transportation mode of Air, Sea, Land (Road, Rail, Truck, Lorries etc)

The portion of costs that has to be borne by you for each claim made as specified in your policy.

Notify the surveyors stated in the policy certificate immediately or inform your customer to contact the surveyor directly. Alternatively, you can contact 1800-LIBERTY (5423 789) or email us at Claims_admin.sg@libertymutual.com. We will gladly assist you.

These documents must be returned so that the rightful claimant/party to the cargo can be properly identified at the point of claim.
